Science helps us in our daily life in numerous ways. Some of the ways in which science has helped us in the following areas are:

Health: Developments in biological science have made it possible for us to live a longer and healthier life. We now have: a) Better methods for diagnosing diseases, such as blood test, urine test, MRI and so on. b) Medicines for the prevention of diseases and antibiotics for curing diseases. c) Discovery of vaccines to eradicate diseases.

Communication: Computers and satellites have brought about a revolution in communication. The Internet, email, and mobile phones are some recent inventions that have made communication and access to information faster and better. It is now easier to contact people who live far away from us in a matter of minutes.

Recreation: Science gives us a wide range of recreational facilities such as music player, television, computer, smartphones, video games, CD and DVDs, etc.
