1 - (b) Magnetite is a blackish rock that attracts small pieces of iron. Magnetite is an ore of iron called Ferric oxide. 2 - (c) A device consisting of a small magnetic needle, used to find directions on the earth's surface, is called a magnetic compass. Its North pole is generally pointed red.
