The excretory system in human is responsible for the elimination of wastes and consists of Kidney, Ureter, Urinary bladder and Urethra.

Kidney is made up of three sections, and they are, the renal cortex, the renal medulla and the renal pelvis.

Blood enters the kidney through the renal artery, which splits into many afferent arterioles and further into the Glomerulus.

The blood further reaches Glomerulus which is enclosed within Bowman's Capsules of nephrons, where the wastes filtered out of the blood by ultrafiltration.

Nephron is the functional unit of the kidney that is surrounded by the capillaries. The blood capillaries function to transfer the substances in and out of the blood.

The renal pelvis of the kidney takes urine away from the kidney through the ureters which transfers the urine into the urinary bladder for urine storage.

Urine is expelled out of the body through the urethra.
