1.-iii. Saliva-Mouth: Saliva produced from three pairs of the salivary gland, containing salivary amylase & mucus. This enzyme digests the carbohydrate partially. Mucus mix with partially digested food to form a round ball called a bolus. The tongue pushes the bolus into the oesophagus. 2-v. Pancreatic juice-Pancreas: Pancreatic juice is a liquid secreted by the pancreas, which is alkaline and neutralizes the acid from the stomach. It contains a variety of enzymes and salts that helps to digest protein, starch, and fat. It has an important role to play in the digestion of fat. 3-i. Gastric juice-Stomach:-Gastric juice is made up of water, electrolytes, hydrochloric acid, enzymes, mucus, etc., Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid that makes medium acidic. Pepsin from gastric juice helps in the digestion of protein. Hydrochloric acid kills the microorganism & make the semisolid food acidic. 4-ii. Bile juice-Liver, gall bladder:-The liver produces a digestive j uice called bile. It is black-green in color and bitter taste The gallbladder stores bile between meals. When a person eats, the gallbladder squeezes bile through the bile ducts, which connect the gallbladder and liver to the small intestine. It has an important role to play in the digestion of fats. 5-iv. Intestinal Juice-Intestine: A fluid that is secreted in small quantities in the small intestine, is highly variable in the constitution, and contains especially various enzymes like pepsin, lipase, lactase, enterokinase, and amylase and mucus.
