The rabbits are sexually dimorphic animals, i.e., the male and female individuals are morphologically distinct. In male rabbits, the testes are the primary sex organs that produce the male gametes, sperms. A pair of testes occurs in the abdominal cavity which is enclosed within the scrotal sacs. Each testis contains a network of fine tubes called the seminiferous tubules, which lead into a coiled tubule called the epididymis. The epididymis further leads to the main sperm duct called the vas deferens, which joins the urethra and runs into the penis. The prostate gland, Cowper's gland, and perineal gland are the accessory glands, the secretions of which are involved in reproduction.
