Celsius scale (C):- In this scale freezing point of water is taken as $0^{o} C$ and boiling point of water is taken as $100^{o} C$ . The range is divided into $100$ equal parts in Celsius scale.

Fahrenheit scale (F):- In this scale melting point of ice taken as $32^{o} F$ and boiling point of water taken as $212^{o} F$ . The range is divided into $180$ equal parts in Fahrenheit scale.

Kelvin scale (K):- in this scale melting point of ice is taken as $273 K$ and boiling point is taken as $373 K$ and the range is divided into $100$ equal parts.

The relation between these scales is given as
$\frac{C - 0}{100 - 0} = \frac{F - 32}{212 - 32} = \frac{K - 273}{373 - 273}$
$\frac{C}{100} = \frac{F - 32}{180} = \frac{K - 273}{100}$

Now use the above relation for conversion from one scale to other scale
To convert $50^{o} C$ into Fahrenheit
$\frac{F - 32}{180} = \frac{C}{100}$
$\frac{F - 32}{180} = \frac{50}{100}$
$F = \frac{(50 \times 180)}{100} + 32$
$F = 90 + 32$
$F = 122^{0} F$
