The More is the area, the more are the number of district. We can divide the districts into four categories-

The States having no. of districts less than $10$ - Goa, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura.

The states having no. of the districts between $10 - 20$ - Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himanchal Pradesh, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Punjab, West Bengal.

The states having no. of the districts between $20 - 30$ - Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat.

The states having no. of the districts between $30 - 40$ - Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Odisha.

The states having no. of the districts between $40$ and above- Madhya Praesh and Uttar Pradesh.
