Follow the given steps in long division method:

1. Make a pair of two from right side and put a bar over every pair of digits starting from the right of the given number. If there are odd number of digits, the extreme left digit will be without a bar sign above it.

2. Think of the largest number whose square is equal to or just less than the first period. Take this number as the divisor and also as the quotient.

3. To find the new divisor, double the value of the quotient and write it leaving a blank space next to it. Select the largest digit for the unit place of the divisor such that the new number, when multiplied by the new digit at unit’s place, is equal to or less than the dividend .

4. Repeat the steps till we get remainder as zero.
