A nucleus is defined as a double-membraned eukaryotic cell organelle that contains the genetic material. It is generally the most prominent organelle in the cell. It is surrounded by a structure called the nuclear envelope.

The cell wall can be characterised as a non-living component. It covers the outermost layer of the cell and protects it from the surroundings. It provides support, protection, and shape to the cell. This is found to be present only in fungi, eukaryotic plants, and very few prokaryotes. The cell wall in fungi is composed of chitin. The cell wall is composed of carbohydrates, cellulose, pectin, hemicellulose, and other minerals in smaller amounts in the body of a plant.
