The process of removing green colour from the leaves is called bleaching. Alcohol is used to bleach the leaves. This process is done to test the presence of starch in the leaves with the help of an iodine solution.

The food chain is a linear sequence of organisms that starts from producers and ends with decomposers. For example, Plants are the producers which are eaten by herbivores and in turn, herbivores are eaten by carnivores which are further fed upon by the decomposers.
