When light enters the eye, it interacts with these photoreceptor cells, which then convert the light into electrical signals.

2. Ears: The ears are responsible for the sense of hearing and maintaining the balance of the body. Ears are called phonoreceptors.

3. Nose: The nose is responsible for the sense of smell. It contains olfactory receptors which allow us to perceive and distinguish different odours.

4. Tongue: The tongue is responsible for the sense of taste. Taste buds present on the tongue detect different chemical compounds in food, which send signals to the brain, allowing us to perceive sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami tastes.

5. Skin: The skin is responsible for the sense of touch.It contains various receptors that detect pressure, temperature, and pain.
