where $\mathrm{Z}$ is the number of atoms/molecules/ions present per unit cell, $\mathrm{M}$ is molecular weight, ${\mathrm{N}}_{\mathrm{A}}$ is Avogadro's number and ${\mathrm{a}}^3$ is the volume of unit cell.
