The human digestive system consists of the gastrointestinal tract along with the essential organs that help in the process of digestion. The process of digestion includes five sub-processes that include: ingestion, digestion, absorption, assimilation and egestion. The labelled part in the given diagram is:

A- it represents the mouth or buccal cavity consist of teeth and tongue that helps in chewing the food. Saliva helps in easily swallowing the food.

B- it represents the oesophagus that is a long pipe-like organ that connects the mouth to the stomach. The food is further transferred to the stomach via this organ.

C- it represents the stomach which contains gastric enzymes and acid that breaks down the complex food particles into simpler ones.

D- it represents the small intestine that is involved in the absorption of the digested food.

E- it represents the large intestine that also performs absorption of the water and salts from the digested food.

F- it represents an anus that is involved in the process of releasing the waste products.
