Given: Three person takes below mentioned time to run a track, 3 min 20 sec = 3 × 60 + 20 = 200 sec. 3 min 40 sec = 3 × 60 + 40 = 220 sec 4 min = 4 × 60 = 240 sec The time they meet will be the LCM of the given times. 200 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 5 × 5 220 = 2 × 2 × 5 × 11 240 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 ∴ LCM = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 × 5 × 1 = 13200 s e c ⇒ 13 , 200 60 = 220 min = 3 hours 40 minutes. ∴ They will meet at 3 hours 40 minutes.
