In the expression for the torque $\overrightarrow{\tau }$ experienced by an electric dipole of dipole moment $p$ in a uniform electric field $\overrightarrow{E}$. What would happen if the external field $\overrightarrow{E}$ is increasing  parallel to $\overrightarrow{p}$ and anti-parallel to $\overrightarrow{p}$?
