Constitutional Provisions for Reservation of Seats:

1. Article 243D provides reservation of seats for Scheduled Tribes in Panchayats.

2. Article 330 provides reservation of seats for Scheduled Tribes in the House of the People (Lok Sabha).

3. Article 332 provides reservation of seats for Scheduled Tribes in Legislative Assemblies of the States.

Benefits under PMJDY

1. One basic savings bank account is opened for the unbanked person.

2. No minimum balance requirement is there in PMJDY accounts.

3. Beneficiaries earn interest the deposit in PMJDY accounts.

4. Rupay Debit card is provided to account holders.

5. There is a provision an accident Insurance Cover of Rs.1 lakh.

6. Life Insurance Cover of Rs.30,000 to eligible PMJDY account holders who opened their account for the first time between 15.8.2014 to 31.1.2015 is available.

7. An overdraft (OD) facility up to Rs.10,000 is available to eligible account holders.

8. PMJDY accounts are eligible for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency Bank (MUDRA) scheme.
