The principle of Allen's rule describes that the organisms undergo changes and adaptations depending on the environmental and geographical conditions. The organism when introduced to a stressful climate, organisms develop certain features which will allow them to survive. They have small ears and limbs to prevent loss of heat. This property of the warm-blooded organisms was observed and stated in Allen's rule.
