(b) - (iii) Multicellular organisms are composed of more than one cell, with groups of cells differentiating to take on specialised functions. Animals (Example: earthworm) and plants (Example: Mango) are multicellular organisms. (c) - (v) The movement of plant parts in response to light is called phototropism. The roots of the plant grow away from light while stem grows towards the light. Roots are negatively phototropic and stem is positively phototropic. (d) - (i) Green plants produce their own food by a process called photosynthesis. Therefore, plants are called autotrophs. (e) - (iv) Animals do not contain chlorophyll (a green coloured pigment), therefore cannot prepare their food. All animals depend on plants and other animals for their food. Therefore, they are called heterotroph.
