1. Dholavira and Lothal: Dholavira and Lothal were two important places of Indus Valley Civilisation, situated in this state. Dholavira was famous for its town planning, bead making factories, and centre of ornament making out of shell. Lothal was the only harappan centre where a dockyard had been discovered. It was a centre of trade and commerce.

2. Junagadh: In Junagadh, inscription of Ashoka, Buddhist caves of Khapra kodiya, Step wells or Vav, tomb of Mahabat Khan, were found.
