The Slave Dynasty:-

The Slave Dynasty ( $1206$ - $1290$ ) or the Mamluk dynasty was the first to establish rule. Qutb-ud-din Aibak, a former slave of Muhammad Ghori laid the foundation of Slave dynasty. Shamsuddin Iltutmish and Ghiyas-ud-din Balban were the other two great sultans of the dynasty. Razia Sultan, daughter of Sultan Iltutmish ruled for a brief period.

The Khaljis:-

The Khalji Dynasty ( $1290$ - $1320)$ was ruled by three great rulers Jalaluddin Khalji, Alauddin Khalji and Qutb-ud-Din Mubarak Shah Khalji. Alauddin Khalji was a very powerful ruler. He is known for his stringer market control policies. He raised a large standing army and successfully evaded Mongol raids in Delhi.

The Tughluqs:-

The important rulers of Tughluq Dynasty ( $1320$ - $1413)$ were Ghiyasuddin Tughluq, muhammad Bin Tughluq and Firuz Shah Tughluq. Muhammad Bin Tughluq was a very learned man. He introduced few innovative administrative measures all of which however did not succeed. The Delhi Sultanate lost its political stability even before Firuz Shah Tughluq's death as there was a struggle for power amongst the nobles. With the invasion of Timur the Delhi Sultanate disintegrated.

The Sayyid Dynasty:-

In $1414$ , Khizr Khan, a former Multan governor, established the Sayyid Dynasty. The Tughlaq Dynasty was replaced by Sayyid dynasty which ruled until $1451$ .

The Lodi Dynasty:-

The Lodi Dynasty controlled the Delhi Sultanate from $1451$ until $1526$ . It was the fifth and final dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, established by Bahlul Khan Lodi after the Sayyid dynasty was deposed.
