Parathyroid gland: This yellow colour gland is located on the thyroid gland and secretes the hormone called parathormone. It regulates the calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood. Deficiency of the parathormone leads to twitching, cramps and spasms.

Adrenal gland: The adrenal gland is conically shaped located on the upper surface of the kidney. The hormones secreted from the cortex include glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, sex steroids. The medullary hormones include adrenaline, noradrenaline.

Pituitary Gland: It is a pea-shaped, small but most important gland of the body which is attached to hypothalamus by a stalk. It is the master gland because many of its secretions control the functioning of other endocrine glands. Some hormones released by the pituitary are the growth hormone, TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) and the oxytocin hormone.
