Awadh: In $1722$ A.D.Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah appointed Saadat Khan as the governor of Awadh.Gradually Awadh became a powerful independent kingdom of North India.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad was founded by the Nizam-ul-Mulk. He was the wazir during the reign of Muhammad Shah. Though he did not formally declare his independence he ruled over Hyderabad as an independent ruler. He made Hyderabad his capital.

Mysore: In $1761$ A.D., Hyder Ali became the ruler of Mysore. He established a sound administrative system in Mysore. Tipu Sultan the powerful ruler of this state. The state of Mysore became an important political power during the $18$ th Century.
