Terrestrial Habitat includes all the organisms that live on land. The organisms of terrestrial habitats are mainly affected by two abiotic components that are rainfall and temperature. Terrestrial Habitat is of different types:

Grasslands: These are areas with grass as the dominant vegetation. Animals like foxes, giraffes, lions, and zebras are found in this region.

Deserts: These are dry Areas where very less rainfall occurs throughout the year. Animals such as snakes, rats, camels, etc are found in this region.

Polar regions: They are always covered with snow. Animals like reindeer rabbits, penguins, polar bears, etc are found in this region.

Mountains: These are very cold and windy regions and at a higher altitude may be subjected to snowfall during some parts of the year. Animals such as goats, yak, and snow leopard, are common in this habitat

Forests: These are the areas that allow the dense growth of trees. They covered one-third of our planet in these forests and natural habitats of many animals and plants.
