1-(iv) Chlorophyll is a green-coloured photosynthetic pigment present in the chloroplast of the leaves. It absorbs solar energy and uses it for the synthesis of carbohydrates with the help of carbon dioxide and water. 2-(i) Rhizobium is a symbiotic bacterium that is present in the root nodules of leguminous plants that help to absorb atmospheric nitrogen. Since these organisms help in fixing nitrogen for the leguminous plants, they are also known as nitrogen-fixing bacteria. 3-(v) Amarbel is the common name for Cuscuta , which is an example of a parasitic plant. It does not have chlorophyll pigment for photosynthesis.
