There are two types of permanent tissue in the plants: Simple permanent tissue and complex permanent tissue. Parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma are known as simple permanent tissue. Complex permanent tissues are xylem and phloem known as vascular tissue of the plants which transport water and food materials throughout the plants.
