Edmonton, with the capital as the Canadian province of Alberta, is on the North Saskatchewan River and centre of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region. Winnipeg, known as the capital of the province of Manitoba, is Manitoba's largest city. It is six hours behind the GMT and one hour behind New York's time. The Gulf of Mexico is a marginal sea in the Atlantic Ocean, mostly surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The average depth of this Gulf is about 5200 feet, though it is much deeper than that. The Rocky Mountains, commonly known as the Rockies, are huge mountain ranges, between Canada and New Mexico. They are divided into four broad groupings, the Canadian Rockies, Northern Rockies, the Middle Rockies, and the southern Rockies. Indianapolis is also commonly known as Indy. It is the most populous city of the U.S. state and capital also. The people of Indianapolis are popularly called Hoosiers.
