Let the total money she had be $x$ .

So, cost of handbag, $= \frac{3}{5} x$ ....(i)

Cost of dress and belt together $= x - \frac{3}{5} x = \frac{5 x - 3 x}{5} = \frac{2 x}{5}$ .....(ii)

According to question, cost of handbag $= 2$ cost of dress

$\Rightarrow \frac{3}{5} x = 2$ cost of dress

$\Rightarrow$ cost of dress $= \frac{3}{5} x \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{3}{10} x$ .......(iii)

And, cost of dress $=$ cost of belt $+ 20$

$\Rightarrow \frac{3}{10} x =$ cost of belt $+ 20$

$\Rightarrow$ cost of belt $= \frac{3}{10} x - 20$ ......(iv)

From (ii), (iii) and (iv),

$\frac{3}{10} x + \frac{3}{10} x - 20 = \frac{2}{5} x$

$\frac{3}{5}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{3 x + 3 x - 4 x}{10} = 20$

$\Rightarrow \frac{2 x}{10} = 20$

$\Rightarrow x = 20 \times \frac{10}{2} = 100$

Therefore, Pinky had $Rs . 100$ in the beginning.
