The physical adaptations help the animal to survive in a particular place. Each adaptation has been developed over many generations. Many human beings can not survive in places such as deserts, mountains, polar regions, and tropical rainforests because they are not physically adapted to live in these places. Mountains and polar regions have extremely cold climates. To naturally survive in this climate like other animals, human beings need to have the characteristics like very thick layer of fat, fur on their body and well padded feet. Deserts are extremely hot places with water scarcity. To naturally survive these places like other animals human beings need to adopt a water storing mechanism inside their body. To survive in tropical rainforests human beings need to develop characteristics like tail, antlers, camouflage etc.
