(a) Wind The seeds that are dispersed by the wind are very light and as fine as dust particles. Hence, they can be easily carried away by wind. Few seeds have extra features such as small wing like structures or hairy growth that also helps in dispersal.

(b) Water Plants that grow near water disperse seed by the means of water. Such as in case of coconut or flowers growing in water like lotus, lilies adapt to this kind of dispersal.

(c) Animal Plants that have juicy fruits attract animal or birds towards them. These animals eat fleshy part of fruits and excrete stones and pips that produce new plants. As animals keep roaming, they also disperse seeds to far places.

(d) Animal In case of few plants, they have hook like structure that stick to the body of animal or bird. These seeds are carried away and dropped in different places. As soon as they get the right condition, they germinate into a new plant.

(e) Explosion Some plants have fruits that are known as pods. These pods explode or burst open when they are fully ripe. This method of dispersal is called as explosion.
