The rivers of Rajasthan include Luni, Chambal, and Sabarmati. The Luni rises from the western slope of the Aravalli range and drains in the Rann of Kutch. The Chambal originates from the eastern slope of the Aravalli hills, joins the Yamuna as a tributary, and drains into the Bay of Bengal. Sabarmati river originates in the Aravalli ranges of the Udaipur district of Rajasthan. It flows parallel to the Aravalli ranges and empties into the Arabian Sea. Gorges: Gilgit is an important gorge on the Indus river, Naina Devi Dhar is a gorge on the Satluj river and Namcha Barwa gorge is formed on the Brahmaputra river.
