The Cell A in the diagram given below has only cell membrane. Therefore, it is an animal cell. The cells have hair like extensions called microvilli. These cells are present in small intestine in humans. Thousands of these microvilli form a structure called the brush border that is found on the apical surface of epithelial cells, such as the small intestines. These cells increase the surface area for diffusion and minimise any increase in volume, and are involved in absorption of digested food.
