Consider the below figure:

A line segment is a portion of a line that has fixed end points and fixed length but no width or thickness. It is named by two capital letters marked on its end points.

Therefore, the line segments in the above figure are $A C, C E, A E, B F, B D, F D$ . Thus, there are six line segments in the above figure.

Now, let us rename the above figure in the following way to find the point of intersection.

We know that,

When two or more lines cross each other in a plane, they are called intersecting lines. The intersecting lines share a common point, that exists on all the intersecting lines. Such points are called the point of intersection.

Therefore, in the above figure we can observe that $O, P, Q, R, S, T$ are the points of intersection. So, there are six points of intersection.

Here, we have $A C$ and $B F$ intersect each other at $P$ .

$A E$ and $B F$ intersect each other at $O$ . $B D$ and $A C$ intersect each other at $Q$ .

$B D$ and $C E$ intersect each other at $R$ . $F D$ and $C E$ intersect each other at $S$ . Moreover, $A E$ and $F D$ intersect each other at $T$ .
