The animals that live on land like- dog, cow, buffalo, keep their head out of the water while swimming. Why do they do so?

North America faces the following problems:

a) Tallgrass prairie has been cleared for developmental activities and agriculture.

b) Horticultural introduction of English Ivy plants poses a serious threat to the indigenous species.

What are the effects of the above human activities on biodiversity?

Statement I : In many cultures, tracts of forest were set aside, and all the trees and wildiife within were venerated and given total protection are referred as sacred groves.

Statement II : In Meghalaya, the sacred groves are the last refuges for a large number of rare and threatened animals.
