The tadpole larva of frog lives in water and thus obtains oxygen in the dissolved form from the water. It does so with the help of the gills. An adult frog, however, lives on land as well as in the water. It can breathe through the nostrils and push the air into the lungs, just like humans. It can also obtain oxygen from the atmosphere with the help of its moist skin and inner lining of the mouth, as these are richly supplied with blood capillaries.
