All the plants use a process called photosynthesis to make food from the sunlight, carbon dioxide and water. In this food web, orchid and grass considered as producers because they are the plants make their own food, And they do not depend on the other organisms. The tropic level starts with producers. Tropic levels in the food web: (i)producers:- Organisms that can synthesise their own food and usually serves as the foundation for all food chains. (ii)Primary consumers:- It is the second tropic level. They are also called the herbivores animals who eat producers or plants. These primary consumers become prey for other animals that sit higher on the food chain. (iii) Secondary consumers:-These are animals who eat on primary consumers.They usually eat meat and are termed as predators. (iv)Tertiary consumers:-They are the ones who feed on secondary consumers. They also termed as apex predators and have no natural enemies.

Food web can be described as the natural interconnection of several food chains. It can also be stated as the graphical representation of which what is eaten by the members of ecological community. The connection between the food webs depict the feeding pathways. The food web presents a picture of the various ways of feeding which connects the ecosystem into a single unified system. A gardener has a lot of sweet pea plants growing in one area-some have pink flowers, some have purple flowers and some have white flowers. The photograph shows some of his plants. He wants to create a new area of sweet peas, but he wants only white flowers. Explain how the gardener could use the sweet pea plants he already has to selectively breed white sweet peas.

Individuals with particular inherited characteristics reproduce, their offspring are likely to inherit the same characteristics. If a pea plant with white flowers is fertilized by a pollen grain from another plant with white flowers, it would be likely that the resulting seed would grow into a plant that grows a white flower. By selecting individuals with desirable characteristics to reproduce together, farmers and plant growers can affect the characteristics of the offspring. This is called selective breeding. These steps are included in the reproduction; A. Choose individual with a desired character. B. Allow the chosen individuals that have to reproduce by sexual reproduction. C. Allow the offspring to grow. D. Allow only the offsprings that have the desired characteristics to reproduce.
