a. Which state has the highest number of MPs in the Lok Sabha? Why do you think so?

b. Which state has the least number of MPs in the Lok Sabha?

c. Which political party has won the most seats in all states?

d. Which party do you think will form the government? Give reasons why?

Accepted Answer

(a) Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of MPs in the Lok Sabha, as in Uttar Pradesh there is the maximum number of constituencies, i.e., $80$ .

(b) Tripura ( $2$ Seats) and Manipura( $2$ Seats) have the least number of seats in the Lok Sabha.

(c) Most of the seats were won by the Congress party in all the states.

(d) Government is formed by the party that got the maximum seats and in this case, the Congress party got the maximum seats in the election. Hence, this party formed the government in $1962$ .
