1 - E Yeast is a single-celled organism and can be seen with the help of microscope. The small bulb-like projection coming out from the yeast cell is called a bud. The bud gradually grows and gets detached from the parent cell and forms a new yeast cell. The new yeast cell grows, matures and produces more yeast cells. Sometimes, another bud arises from the bud forming a chain of buds. If this process continues, numerous yeast cells are produced in a short time. 2 - A Asexual reproduction through any of the plant part such as leaves, roots and stem is known as vegetative propagation. Onion stems are placed in moist soil and then this grows into a new plant. Therefore, onions stems are modified plant structures that derive from stem tissue but are placed under the soil surface. 3 - B Tissue culture involves the use of small pieces of plant tissue (explants) which are cultured in a nutrient medium under sterile conditions. Example in case of Asparagus . 4 - C A flower is a reproductive part of a plant. Stamen is the male reproductive organ of the plant and the pistil is the female reproductive organ of a plant. The stamen is made of two part- a filament and an anther. A pistil is made of three parts- stigma, style, and ovary. 5 - D The scattering of seeds through water, wind and animals to faraway places is called dispersal of seeds.
