Step 1: Trace the outline of your hand up to your wrist on a chart paper. Draw a line on all the joints on every finger. Cut out the shape of the hand carefully along the outline.
Step 2: Cut the straws into longer and shorter pieces and place them on the palm. (Longer pieces for the hand and shorter pieces for each of the fingers.) Secure all the pieces with adhesive tape.
Step 3: Using a darning needle, pass a string through the straw pieces (one string per finger). If your string is thick and stiff, then you will not need a darning needle, just pass the string through the pieces.
Step 4: Stable one end of the strings to the tip of the fingers with the help of a stapler.
Step 5: Now pull the strings together gently and watch the palm curve and extend.
