Plants that are very big, strong and tall are called trees. These are the green cover of the planet. They have a thick, woody stem called trunk. They have many branches that bear, leaves, flowers and fruit. Trees have thick and strong roots. They provide oxygen and improves the quality of the air.

Plants with weak stems that climb on other plants, sticks or grow on walls are called climbers. Beans, cucumber, grapevine, gourd, jasmine and money plant are a few common examples of climbers.

A part of the plant from which a new plant can grow is called a seed. It is seen inside the fruits. When we sow the seeds in the soil, it grows into a new plant if it gets the right amount of water and nutrients.
