Classify the following materials with regard to magnetism: Manganese, cobalt, Nickel, Bismuth, Oxygen, Copper.

Paramagnetic materials. The materials which are not strongly attracted to a magnet are known as paramagnetic material. Diamagnetic materials. The materials which are repelled by a magnet such as zinc. Ferromagnetism is the basic mechanism by which certain materials (such as iron) form permanent magnets, or are attracted to magnets. Most of the ferromagnetic materials are metals. From given materials, manganese and oxygen are paramagnetic materials. Cobalt and nickel are ferromagnetic materials. Bismuth and copper are the diamagnetic materials.
