Joints are the places where two bones are joined together. The bones are held together by strong, stretchy bands called ligaments.

The human body is composed of 206 bones. The upper half of the leg has a long bone called the femur or the thigh-bone. The femur connects the pelvic bone to the lower leg bones. This is one of the strongest bones in the body of a human.

There are 33 small bones called vertebrae in our back, which are joined together to form the vertebral column. The vertebral column is also called the spine. This helps us to bend down.
