The digested products of fats are insoluble in water and hence cannot be absorbed into the blood. The aggregates of these compounds are converted into small water-soluble droplets called micelles. These micelles are further converted in the intestinal mucosal cells into smaller protein-coated particles called chylomicrons. These particles are absorbed into a special set of lymph capillaries called lacteal, which helps in absorption of digested fats.

Assimilation is a process by which the digested food is absorbed by the body cells become an integral component of their living protoplasm and is used for energy, growth and repair. For example, amino acids are assimilated by the formation of proteins that help in building body muscles, glucose is oxidised in the cells for the production of energy, etc.

Movement is one of the significant features of living beings. Movements are of two types - visible and invisible. Visible movements are changes in position of organisms or their parts such as running dog, flying bird, etc. Visible movements are required for supporting life. Molecular movements (invisible movements) are essential for the working of the body cells.
