Social constraints refer to the restrictions imposed by the society whosoever is unauthorised for the same. Hence, it is a restriction on freedom. Such restriction placed by our society is called social restriction. Example- constraints on Hindu widows during $1930$ s.

Necessity of constraints: It depends on the situation, sometimes to uphold freedom, the restriction is laid. The same restriction from the other side could be viewed as an act to restrictions on freedom. Example- Royal household is constrained by contract.

There are various sections that demand a ban on films, books, articles, journals, etc. It is an easy short term solution, it is very harmful in the long term as it may become a habit.

If we willingly accept restrictions to pursue our goals or ambitions our freedom is not limited. Similarly, if we are not persuaded into accepting the conditions we cannot claim to be curtailed freedom.
