The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood to all the organs by the contraction and relaxation of the cardiac muscles, and this rhythmic movement forms a heartbeat. It is due to this that the walls of arteries also contract and relax, and this movement of arteries is called a pulse.

Plants do not have special organs to get rid of the waste. Instead, they use specialized cells to perform the process of excretion. In some plants, extra water along with minerals is excreted through pores at the tips of the leaves. These pores are called hydathodes.

Blood transports substances from one part of the body to another. Blood that reaches the kidneys contain waste substances that must be expelled out of the body. These organs contain many cells which are also known as nephrons. Nephrons act as filters that help in removing the waste substances from the blood and excrete it along with water to form urine.
