If an object is moving in a circular orbit, it is said to be in a circular motion. Circular motion is a type of translatory motion. The motion of the tip of the hands in the clock is an example of such motion. The black dot in below given figure is in a circular motion.

When an object moves to-and-fro between any two points, it is said to be oscillating. Such a motion is known as oscillatory motion. Oscillatory motion is a type of periodic motion. The movement of the pendulum of a clock is an example of oscillatory motion. A model of such oscillatory motion is given in the below figure. As you can see from the figure, in a circular motion the body moves only in one way, and the distance between the centre point and the object is always constant.
