Two sets of yarn are arranged and crisscrossed together in weaving. Fabric is made by weaving silk, cotton, and jute yarn. Fabric is woven on machines known as looms, which can be hand looms or power looms. Hand looms are cloth looms that are woven by hand.

Jute is grown during the rainy season. To obtain high-quality jute, the harvested plant's stem is immersed in water. The stem rots as a result of bacteria in the water. The fibres are then manually separated from the rotten stems. This is known as retting. The resulting jute fibres are dried, cleaned, and bundled into small bundles.

Wool is obtained from sheep and some other animals like goats, rabbits, and yaks. The process of removing hair from the body of a sheep is called shearing. Shearing does not harm the sheep because the sheep's upper layer is dead. They are sheared in the early summer to keep them cool.

Silk is a strong, fine, soft, and shinning fibre obtained from silkworms. We get silk from cocoons spun by silkworms, and it is made up of protein. The rearing of silkworms for obtaining silk is called sericulture.
