It was seen as a completion of works that were started by Guru Nanak Dev ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji completed the work taken by his ancestors to create the Khalsa.

The Masands became corrupt during the time of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. Hence, the introduction of the Khalsa put an end to it. During this period, the importance of the Sikh Sangat also increased.

The number of Sikhs also increased because of the presence of the Panj Piaras. They could introduce new people to the Khalsa Panth. Similarly, the Khalsa Panth put an end to caste based distinctions.

It also helped in establishing a separate identity for the Sikh community. The Khalsa Sikhs had to adopt the title of "Singh" and "Kaur". Other than this, the Khalsa also saved Hindus from the religious wars that they fought with Aurangzeb.

Guru Gobind Singh instilled power and authority in the Guru Granth Sahib which gave birth to a democratic system. The Khalsa Panth also contributed to the rise of the political power of the Sikhs.
