Some rainwater percolates to the deeper layers of soil and reaches the non-porous rocks underneath. This is called underground water. The level of underground water in a place is called water table.

A liquid slowly turned into a gas by evaporation. It could happen in any temperature range. This procedure is in charge of drying the clothing. It also helps in formation of clouds. Evaporation also occurs in plants and trees which is called transpiration.

Drought develops when there is a prolonged lack of rainfall. Due to the lack of essentials like food, water, and fodder, surviving in drought circumstances becomes challenging. Animals suffer greatly as well, particularly cattle and aquatic creatures.
