Asteroids are the celestial objects that are also referred to as minor planets. They are small, rocky objects which revolve around the Sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. We can see asteroids only with a large telescope.

It is a small body of matter from outer space that as a result of friction, enters the atmosphere of the earth, becomes incandescent and appears as a streak of light. Meteors start burning while going through the thick atmosphere.
