Second World War and the National Movement
(1) The Indian National Movement from 1939-1947, was inspired by a number of internal as well as external factors. On one hand, the Indian National Congress was wanting to use the Second World War as a weapon to bargain with the Britishers, whereas, on the other hand, Jinnah and the Muslim league were trying to give new color to politics. The major proceedings of this era can be understood as following-
